Menstrual issues, pre & post pregnancy, infertility, menopause

TCM view life cycles of women in cycles of seven years, where her physiological condition goes through a significant change every seven years. The physiological characteristics are closely related to her liver, spleen and kidney which affects “qi” and blood circulation, hence TCM treatment and conditioning can promote overall body wellness at the different stages by enhancing the functions of the internal organs to achieve balance and restore her health to optimum stage.

Based on this theory, TCM treatments can be administered to women to treat or promote health to achieve the following:

Menstrual Issues

There are increasingly more females facing menstrual issues such as menstrual cramps or irregular periods. This is commonly due to the hectic modern lifestyle and consumption of unhealthy food and drinks. Your period says a lot about your health and well-being. We cannot emphasize enough the importance of a healthy system within the body that is reflected on the outside such as your skin, your vitality and even your weight. When there is a harmonious balance in the body, the monthly cycle should always be painless. A healthy cycle is also accompanied by a healthy, rich flow of blood, without any clots.

Menopause symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, irritability, brain fog and other symptoms can bring about huge change for women over the age of 50. There is no way to prevent the onset of menopause, but there are ways to reduce or prevent its symptoms. From a TCM viewpoint, menopause is mainly associated with kidney yin or yang depletion. An experienced physician can assess the requirement of each individual and prescribe beneficial herbs or treatment t to help ease through the transitional process.

Pre & Post Pregnancy

Pre & Post Pregnancy

Proper pre and post-partum care can determine the health of the baby and the state of the mother’s body after pregnancy.

Prenatal massage can help to relieve aches in the back and neck, and address leg cramps that comes with the additional weight you are carrying. Prenatal massage can also improve circulation, help reduce nervous tension, and help relieve depression or anxiety.

Post-partum massage uses a special lymphatic drainage technique that get rid of excess fluid in the body after giving birth. This light and gentle manual massage is not only effective in reducing water retention and your puffy face but also easy and calming to the tired body. It is a way to pamper mothers after childbirth while helping them regain pre-pregnancy figure and confidence.

Lactation Massage has been proven to improve the quality of milk for your babies. TCM Lactation Massage Therapy combines modern lactation stimulation and traditional acupressure techniques to improve circulatory flow and aid in the production of ample milk supply.

Infertility

Getting pregnant can be tough, staying pregnant can be just as challenging. Irregular or absent menstrual periods, age, endometriosis, abnormal cervical mucus, uterine abnormalities and an unhealthy body weight all contribute to fertility problems . TCM takes into consideration the patient's physical and emotional state, seeking to improve her overall body and mind to optimise fertility. We advise patients to go for weekly follow-up TCM treatments for at least three months to regulate ovulation and balance their hormonal activity.
